A unique gaming keyboard of its kind, positioned by the manufacturer in the middle price range. A4 Tech Bloody B318 received a full-size design, a classic wired connection to a computer via a USB port. But the key device is a hybrid type — the vast majority of buttons have a standard membrane device, but the QWERASDF buttons are completely mechanical. The Light Strike switch delivers a 0.2ms response time, 30% faster than any other mechanical switch. The keyboard has multicolor backlighting. The keys are backlit in any of 3 colours: green, blue or turquoise. It is possible to adjust the brightness of the glow. It is also possible to programme the buttons (enable in combination with the Fn key). To configure the buttons, the manufacturer offers proprietary software. Each time the computer i...s turned on again, the buttons must be reprogrammed, since the keyboard does not have dedicated memory. On the left side, where the QWERASDF keys are, there is a wrist rest. The base of the keyboard is rubberized around the perimeter and has additional rubber blotches on the stands. This keyboard model has a high moisture resistance class.

The keyboard represents the Bloody gaming line of the A4 Tech trademark. It has an original shape and is equipped with a backlight in three colours (green, blue and turquoise).

mixed mechanism

A key feature of the A4 Tech Bloody B318 is the presence of a block of 8 mechanical keys: QWERASDF buttons, which are made in orange and have a silicone coating. These are Light Strike optical switches, which have high speed (response up to 0.2 ms), smooth operation and increased durability (up to 100 million clicks), which is precisely aimed at gamers.

All other keys are membrane. They differ not only in height, but also in response to pressing, so both the gameplay and other tasks (for example, typing) on the A4 Tech Bloody B318 take some time to get used to.

Convenient layout and 9 programmable buttons

The keyboard has a standard set of keys with no shifts in layout or changes in button sizes. An Fn button is provided for additional commands and modes (for example, the combination Fn + F8 blocks the Windows button). There are 9 additional buttons with the ability to set different game actions for them (especially for connoisseurs of MMORPG and RPG).

To set up macros, you need to install proprietary software. According to some users, the interface of the utility is not very convenient, the programme may generally crash due to incompatibility with Win10, and besides, the A4 Tech Bloody B318 itself has no memory, so you will have to reconfigure the programmable buttons after each reboot of the PC.

Does not slip and is not afraid of water

The keyboard has two levels of water protection: it is made of water-repellent materials, and on the back there are drains for water, in case of spilling liquid from above. There are rubber patches all around the base and on the legs. They are designed to ensure the immobility of the model during the most fierce gaming battles.

A4 Tech Bloody B318 is a worthy representative of the game line of a successful manufacturer. If the inconvenient software and the need to get used to the mixed key mechanism do not bother you, then be sure to take a closer look at this model.
