The Taiwanese company Acer produces high-performance laptops in a wide price range. Model of the popular Aspire 3 A315-31 (P0XB) line is a great solution for students, office workers and those who buy a laptop for leisure.

Compact comfort

The weight of the device is 2.1 kg with a rather compact size of 381.6x259x21.6 cm due to the fact that its body is made of thick, durable plastic, which does not creak or bend when pressed hard, which, for example, some Lenovo models close in cost sin.

The screen resolution is 1366x768 pixels, however, the difference in picture quality compared to Full HD in everyday processes: surfing the web, watching videos, reading on a diagonal of 15.6" is practically not noticeable to the naked eye. You can see it only in cases where high detail of the image is required.

The matte finish protects the eyes from glare, but somewhat conceals the saturation of the image. The features of the TN matrix and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 505 video chip allow you to enjoy watching movies, simple toys, but you won’t be able to work professionally in graphic editors or play demanding games.

Performance

The Aspire 3 A315-31 has very good performance thanks to a 1.1-2.5GHz quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 and a 128GB SSD. The volume of the latter, of course, is small, but it should be enough for software, and you can use cloud storage or external hard drives to store information. Also important is the fact that the base 4 GB of RAM can be increased up to 12 GB.

Connectors

The switching ports have everything you need, except for the modern USB Type C and the almost obsolete VGA, so students will not be able to connect to outdated monitors that are still available in some educational institutions, and many new smartphones will have to be connected via a USB Type adapter C — Type A.

The pre-installed OC Linux will be a balm for opponents of Windows and those who like to stand out from their background. The battery life of the car will also please. Another reason for the more than 2 kg weight is a capacious battery, which will easily last for 6.5 hours at full resource. However it will not work to replace it with a new one as it wears out, because it is non-removable.
