10-bit OLED display with record low response time
At CES 2023, Acer introduced new top-end variations of the Predator series of gaming OLED monitors, which we will discuss. The Predator X45 is the top model in the line. It is equipped with a high-end 10-bit matrix, which provides high image quality with a fast response time of 0.01 ms, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and the already familiar 4K resolution. The color gamut of the DCI P3 triangle reaches 98.5% with a declared color accuracy of Delta E <1.
Curved screen for enhanced immersion
The Predator X45's massive 800R screen curvature provides an enhanced immersion effect. AMD FreeSync Premium support allows the screen refresh rate to be synchronized with the current FPS, helping to avoid the unpleasant effect of so-called "frame tearing". The display itself is framed by a thin bezel and sits on an adjustable metal stand, which ensures the stability of the monitor, and also allows you to adjust the angle and height of the screen.
Eye protection
Support for the proprietary VisionCare 2.0 technology suite serves to reduce the strain on your eyes by reducing the level of blue backlighting, flickering, and glare. The manufacturer places special emphasis on the UGR<22 indicator, which indicates the absence of glare on the screen even under direct light. Other advantages of the model include a built-in KVM switch, a 2-port USB hub version 3.0, and an additional USB C input with Power Delivery support and the ability to transmit images (DisplayPort Alt Mode). The only thing that confuses against the background of other characteristics is the modest brightness reserve, which does not allow you to fully enjoy HDR content, and the use of the HDMI 2.0 interface instead of the newer 2.1.
