— HDR monitor support. This technology allows you to expand the dynamic range of brightness — simply put, such screen is able to display higher contrast image, with brighter highlights and darker blacks. However, the matter is not limited to simple increase in contrast: thanks to HDR, the amount of visible detail is noticeably increased. In particular, the highlights look sharper, the bright light does not "clog" the details of the image; similarly, in dark areas, many details are clearly visible, while in the usual range of brightness they would "sink" in the dark.

This feature is important primarily when watching movies and playing games — it greatly improves the image experience. However note that for the full use of HDR, it must be supported not only by the monitor, but also by the graphics card; and the content being played must be optimized for the extended range. So before buying an HDR monitor, it doesn’t hurt to check whether it will be possible to use all its capabilities to the fullest.
