Stationary compact multimedia network player Apple 4th generation, designed to output to the TV the content of the proprietary service Apple TV, iTunes, as well as media files from other devices in the Apple ecosystem. Positioned as a top mid-range product for the 2015 model year. Unlike the 5th generation player (Apple TV 4K), this model does not support UltraHD/4K video playback and cannot fully display high dynamic range (HDR) images. However, when used with an entry-level/mid-range FullHD TV, these limitations are not fundamental, and the Apple TV 4th Generation 32GB player can become the basis of a quality home entertainment centre. It has access to the AppStore with the ability to install games. The player is based on the Apple A8 platform, which includes a powerful processor, 2 GB o...f RAM and 32 GB of high-speed permanent NAND memory. The Power VR GX6450 graphics subsystem supports a set of current OpenGL ES 3.0 rendering technologies and provides decent gaming performance. For comfortable gaming, you can use the Apple Remote with motion sensors or a wireless game controller. Network connectivity is provided by an Ethernet LAN port and 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi module. There is support for Bluetooth 4.0 to connect a wireless keyboard.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Apple TV 4th Generation 32GB is a compact media player that functions as a full-fledged tvOS device, allowing users to install apps from the App Store. It connects to TVs via HDMI and supports high-speed network connections through Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 4.0. The ultra-fast Wi-Fi enables smooth streaming of content from Apple devices like MacBooks and iPads to the TV screen via AirPlay, without lags. However, regional restrictions limit the availability of online TV broadcasts, and Siri is not accessible in some areas. The remote control, while stylish, can be slippery and is not ideal for typing on the on-screen keyboard. Despite these drawbacks, the device offers convenience and integrates well into the Apple ecosystem, making it a valuable addition for users already invested in Apple products. The high-security standards and ease of use are notable advantages, although the cost of accessing media content online can be high. Overall, it is a good model for those seeking seamless integration with other Apple devices.

Cons

good model, I liked it.
15 May 2017
In general, not so long ago, just about two years ago, I completely did not understand why people buy Apple devices. They are expensive, have their own ecosystem incompatible with the usual Windows and Android environment. But everything changed with a new job that I started those same two years ago. As a work, meaning corporate, phone, I was given an iPhone, and the work desktop was a Mac. If I were to briefly formulate the reasons for "converting to the Apple faith," convenience would be at the top. These devices are made for convenient use, and they already have almost everything an ordinary user needs. You put in minimal effort and get maximum results. Additionally, Apple’s high-security standards are also a pleasure. Naturally, I soon had an iPad, MacBook at home, and this winter I also acquired an Apple TV set-top box.
In fact, this set-top box is a small but full-fledged iOS (more precisely tvOS) device on which you can install applications from the App Store. An HDMI cable is connected to the TV, high-speed Ethernet ports, WiFi (version 802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.0 are available for connecting to the network. I was especially pleased with the ultra-fast WiFi, this is the second such device in my house after the router, but I think it's not the last. Unfortunately, due to regional restrictions, there are few online TV broadcasts available, although I actively use the ones that are available to work on my English. The most requested feature was the broadcast of pictures, including movies and videos, from the MacBook and iPad to the TV screen via AirPlay. Through WiFi 802.11ac, this happens smoothly and without lags. Similarly, you can broadcast games on the TV screen.
Siri is not available in our region (( Limited number of App Store apps. High prices for online access to media content. The plastic inserts on the remote look great, but can slip out of your fingers when you lift the remote from the table. Also, the remote is not very convenient for using the on-screen keyboard.

The fourth generation of set-top boxes from the Cupertino company Apple was presented to the public in the fall of 2015 — more than 3 years after the announcement of the third generation Apple TV.

Applications

Compared to its predecessor, the model received more powerful hardware (2-core Apple A8 processor and 2 GB of RAM), which raises the functionality of the media centre to a new level. The key innovation was the appearance of the AppStore app store, adapted to interact with tvOS. It contains many clients for watching television channels (Reuters, CNN, etc.), libraries of films and music, applications for various TV services (including the east european Megogo), and a catalog of games.

Robe

External changes in the design of the set-top box affected the thickness of its body, which has approximately doubled, and the absence of an optical audio output, which left the owners of multi-channel acoustics dissatisfied. But Apple TV 4th Generation received a Bluetooth module that allows you to connect wireless speakers or headphones to the device. The interface ports on the back of the media centre are represented by HDMI, Ethernet and USB Type C connectors (purely for service).

Touch control

The Bluetooth connection performs another important function — with its help, the remote control is connected to the set-top box. In addition to 6 mechanical keys, on the working surface of the remote control there was a place for a touch control panel and a microphone, and an accelerometer and a gyroscope were hidden inside its case. Touch input greatly simplifies menu navigation and rewinding videos, and orientation sensors in space are connected to the control process in games. The microphone is designed to give voice commands to the Siri assistant, which, unfortunately, understands a limited number of languages (Russian is not among them).

Streaming

Owners of "apple" gadgets (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, etc.) can stream content from their devices directly on the TV screen thanks to the AirPlay technology set-top box support. The broadcast of photo and video files is carried out without the slightest delay, but in games, minor lags still occur. However, as mentioned above, games are installed without problems in the internal memory of the media centre (32 GB) and run on the TV display without any hesitation.
