The computing power of the system is provided by a quad-core Core i7 4720HQ processor, which belongs to the fourth generation of the Core microarchitecture. It operates at frequencies up to 3.6 GHz and, together with the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M discrete gaming graphics card and eight gigabytes of DDR3-1600 RAM, is able to handle any application and provide medium-high quality settings in most games. Laptop Asus X550JX is equipped with a 15.6-inch FullHD screen based on a TN + film type matrix. Thanks to the glossy protective layer, the matrix provides a high-definition image with acceptable colour reproduction, good brightness and contrast. This model has three USB connectors, two of which comply with the USB 3.0 standard, VGA and HDMI video outputs, a card reader, a 480p webcam and stereo speakers. The weight of the laptop is moderate, 2.45 kg. The battery is capacious and in economy mode it lasts for 4.5-5 hours, but the game mode empties it in about an hour.
