the 31.5-inch monitor from the Video Enjoyment Monitor series goes out of its way to ensure that viewers in front of its screen get the maximum pleasure when consuming multimedia content. At least, this is what the manufacturer of the device claims and there is no reason not to trust him. Judge for yourself, the model got a 4K VA-type matrix with HDR support and the Brightness Intelligence Plus technology put into service.
The range of tasks of the latter is reduced to adapting the current settings for displaying the image according to the illumination and colour temperature in the room. The matrix provides support for 10-bit colour per channel without the use of FRC. The key bet in the BenQ EW3270U is made on a wide colour gamut (95% of the DCI-P3 space) and the presence of an Eye-Care mode that allows you to reduce eye strain during long gatherings in front of the monitor screen. The interface connectors in the arsenal of the model are represented by two HDMI 2.0, Display Port 1.2 and USB-C (for video output). Also, 2-watt speakers are embedded in the monitor case, and the presence of holes for a 100x100 mm VESA bracket from the front allows you to hang the device on the wall.

"Monitor for Pleasure"
The BenQ EW3270U is an interesting 32-inch monitor that is part of the unusual line of BenQ Video Enjoyment Monitors (i.e. monitors "for pleasure"). This family is very diverse and includes models with a diagonal of 24 to 25" with a wide variety of functionality. The hero of today's review is the only representative of this series, which combines a 32-inch diagonal with 4K resolution.
10-bit natural colour matrix
The monitor matrix is classified as VA and provides support for 10-bit colour per channel without the use of FRC. The manufacturer relies on HDR support and a wide colour gamut (95% DCI-P3) with high-quality factory colour settings. The sRGB mode is especially well calibrated, which allows you to work with graphics and colour right out of the box. To avoid compromises with the matrix, the manufacturer decided to save on some minor things. For example, the functionality of the stand has been reduced to a minimum (only the tilt is adjustable). And you can't call it too reliable. The USB hub was removed to save money. A pair of built-in speakers here is as simple as possible and does not pretend to be feats. But there is a VESA wall mount and a USB-C port with DisplayPort ALT Mode for easy connection of a monitor to a laptop.
USB-C port for connecting to a laptop
Compared to other inexpensive monitors BenQ EW3270U stands out due to a couple of unusual hardware and software features. With Smart Focus mode, you can highlight the desired area of the screen to focus on content and turn off distracting backgrounds. The monitor also has a simple built-in upscaler that artificially increases the pixel density of the image so that the low-resolution picture looks sharper. It works more interesting than a simple sharpening adjustment, but it is very far from upscaling in modern TVs. Oh yes, the BenQ EW3270U also has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the backlight of the monitor to the natural light of the room in order to reduce eye strain as much as possible.
