The top model of “blue blood” from the category of DVRs with support for 4K recording resolution. Video is recorded on the device at a resolution of up to 3840x2160 pixels with a frame rate of 30 fps. And in the traditional Full HD format, the shooting frame rate can be increased to 60 fps. The recorder has an advanced 8-megapixel Sony IMX678 matrix, supported by high-quality optics with a field of view of about 155°.

The “inside” of the BlackVue DR970X-1CH has wireless GPS and Wi-Fi modules. The first one will come in handy for overlaying the coordinates of the car’s location and speed of movement on top of the video sequence, the second one will be useful for pairing the device with mobile gadgets and uploading the footage to the Blackvue Cloud cloud storage. By the way, the connection via the Wi-Fi network is performed at a carrier frequency of 5 GHz.

The design of the model provides for an AV input for optionally connecting an external rearview camera. The power supply to the recorder is supplied from the cigarette lighter socket on board the vehicle. For correct finalization of video footage, the device has a durable and safe supercapacitor as a built-in power source. The model is made in a compact cylindrical form factor and is discreetly placed on the inner surface of the car windshield.
