An improved version of the popular Turret case. A distinctive feature of the model is the use of proprietary VORTEX RGB FCB 120 fans, which do not glow with a static shade, as in the basic version, but shimmer in the RGB spectrum. The case is great for installing an ATX size motherboard. At the same time, there is space on the platform for three liquid cooling radiators at once. A 360 mm heat exchanger can be placed in front, a 240 mm radiator can easily fit on top, and a 120 mm option can be fixed in the back. The Cougar Turret RGB computer case received an interesting sidewall. The main side cover is glass. This panel can be fixed in a half-open position. The lower stops are responsible for this functionality. The case has a lower compartment fenced off by a casing. The partition has per...forations and two slots for installing 2.5″ drives. The front cover is transparent. To ensure airflow, there are special mesh inserts on the sides of the front panel. Regular turntables are connected through a proprietary hub, through which eight fans and four LED strips can be powered.

German pedantry

Cougar Turret RGB is an updated version of the German brand's computer case. Unlike the original Turret with a fixed colour (red), the novelty received Vortex RGB turntables with customizable lighting and a Core Box C controller to synchronize them with the motherboard.

Metal and glass

The body frame is steel and heavy (7 kg), which absorbs vibration well. The top is covered with a magnetic ventilation mesh for easy removal and cleaning. The front and side panels are made of scratch-resistant tempered glass. The power supply and its numerous wires are neatly hidden behind a decorative casing.

Spacious exterior

A pair of 12 cm RGB propellers is mounted on the front panel (a third can fit if desired). There are also seats for turntables on the back and top. But a liquid cooling system really asks for it, since even a massive one — 28x14 cm will fit in there. However, if you prefer classic air cooling, then everything is in order with this case — a CPU cooler as high as 16 cm will fit.

smart controller

The Cougar Turret RGB has only one drawback (rather a feature): the complete Core Box C hub, which supports up to 8 fans and 4 LED strips, is synchronized only to motherboards with an RGB_5V connector, while some motherboards are equipped with a 12V connector. In this case, you will have to switch the colour of the glow not programmatically through the proprietary application of the motherboard, but manually — with a button on the case. However, for many, this option is even more convenient.
