sometimes things just don't go as planned, one out of the two broke, the second one is still working.

it served me for 10 years and then something broke, either the motor or the bearing, basically it doesn't spin, just jerks. So, not 17 years 24/7, as someone wrote here. Considering sleep and the fact that I don't sit at my computer endlessly, it lasted less than 5 years if you convert it to hours.
Design, power, not an annoying hum.
