From the press release:

The powerful and reliable D-Link AirPremier DWL-3200AP intra-office access point is designed for enterprise-scale networks and offers a rich set of functions for building managed and secure wireless LANs. The access point supports the Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard. The access point comes with two 5dBi high gain antennas for optimal wireless range.

PoE support
The DWL-3200AP is housed in a ventilated metal case, which complies with fire safety regulations and guarantees protection against overheating. The access point supports the 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard, which allows you to install this device even in places where power outlets are not available.

Connection at speeds up to 108 Mbps
The DWL-3200AP establishes a reliable connection with 802.11g wireless devices at speeds up to 54 Mbps and supports D-Link 108G technology, providing connections at speeds up to 108 Mbps (Turbo mode). At the same time, the DWL-3200AP remains fully compatible with IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g devices.

Turbo mode
The maximum wireless data rate of 54 Mbps is defined by the IEEE 802.11g standard specifications. 108 Mbps in Turbo mode is achieved with other D-Link Wireless 108 G devices. Actual throughput will vary.

Advanced Wireless Security Features
When deploying a wireless network, one of the important issues remains the problem of ensuring its security. Therefore, to ensure complete network security, the DWL-3200AP supports the latest security technologies such as WPA-Enterprise and 802.1x. Additionally, the DWL-3200AP supports the newly emerging 802.11i standard to provide a high level of security for wireless networks.

WDS (Wireless Distribution System) support
The DWL-3200AP access point can be configured to operate in one of three modes: access point (AP mode), point-to-point bridge, or point-to-multipoint bridge (WDS mode).

Increase the flexibility and efficiency of the network.
The DWL-3200AP access point allows you to create multiple SSIDs (Multiple SSID) and divide the wireless network into several independent segments based on security and performance requirements. The primary SSID can be enabled for encryption and authentication to secure the private network, while the other SSID can be left open to the public. Multiple SSID also means that SSID broadcasting can be enabled or disabled on different segments of the wireless network. For example, for public Internet access, you can enable SSID broadcast so that client wireless adapters can automatically find available access points. In a private network, you can disable SSID broadcasting to prevent unauthorized users from identifying the wireless network. The network administrator can set the number of users that will be associated through a specific SSID and control their use of certain services.

Cost reduction
By supporting Multiple SSID, the DWL-3200AP allows the AP to be logically divided into multiple virtual APs within the same hardware platform. Instead of creating two separate wireless networks, you can use one access point to support more than one service, such as public Internet access and internal network management, increasing network flexibility and reducing the cost of purchasing additional equipment.

Advanced network management features
DWL-3200AP management tools include a Web interface and Telnet. For advanced network management, you can use the D-Link Access Point Manager (AP Manager) or D-View SNMP Management Module to configure and manage multiple APs from one location. In addition to the usual management process, network administrators can also adjust and manage equipment checks without wasting time and resources on direct personal control of any operations.
