Affordable dual-band wireless router (router) class AC1200 with support for Wi-Fi 5 standard and four external antennas to create extensive network coverage. The manufacturer positions it as a basic-priced product designed to create a productive network infrastructure in a 1/2/3-room apartment, small standalone house, or small office (up to four PCs). The incoming (WAN) port Fast Ethernet is suitable for fully utilizing the potential of a 100-Mbps connection to the provider's network.
In addition to router functions, the TP-LINK Archer C54 can fully serve as an access point or repeater. Thanks to the high-performance hardware platform and support for MU-MIMO 2x2 multi-thread data transmission, an impressive theoretical data transfer speed is claimed. In the 2.4 GHz band, it reaches 300 Mbps, and at 5 GHz — up to 867 Mbps (under real conditions, 100 and 300 Mbps are achieved, respectively).
Four standard Fast Ethernet LAN ports allow creating a small local network with a bandwidth of up to 100 Mbps. There is support for NAT, Firewall, and DHCP server functions. VPN traffic is correctly processed, and IPTV stream routing is performed. Security protocols function, and user traffic encryption is ensured. The router is easy to perform initial setup, which can be done using a smartphone.

It’s time to buy a new laptop and reap the benefits of upgrading to a router that is already 10+ years old. Look for the “middle peasant” for a reasonable price. Having settled on this model, it suited all my needs and as it turned out, I did not regret my choice. A wonderful router for the money: it works flawlessly and without interruptions (this hasn’t happened before), compact, minimalist design, easy to connect and set up. It’s cool that it’s dual-band. A strong signal: through a triple slope, not under the direct route to the router, you can see 30 Mbit/s within 50 meters. In this case, the speed of access via Wi-Fi on the router is 92 - 94 Mbit/s (the speed of the provider is 100 Mbit/s). It is important to surf in a private booth, since the Internet is required not only between the living rooms, but also in the area around the booth. This can be dealt with efficiently. From now on, use your laptop frequently by connecting to the Internet for 30-60 seconds. About an hour later I updated the firmware on the router and the same problem arose. A week after the purchase, the router is excellent. It performs its job 100%. It maintains a stable speed on both bands as mentioned in my previous review. 2.4 MHz gives 70-85 Mbps, and speed on 5 MHz is 80-90 Mbps considering my provider offers 100 Mbps. I just bought it today. Well, what can I say, so far I'm satisfied. The setup took 10 minutes. The speed on 2.4 MHz is 70-85 MB, the speed on 5 MHz is 80-90 MB, considering that my provider offers 100 Mbps. Before this, I had a Huawei WS318n router that I had been using since April 2020, and I recently sent it for service because the network kept disappearing.
