Not everyone needs expensive and “cool” jigsaws. Sometimes a low-cost household-class tool is enough. The Einhell TE-JS 18 Li Solo cordless jigsaw falls into this category — a very simple device that, nevertheless, has decent performance. It can cut wood up to 80 mm thick (although it is better to limit yourself to ordinary boards and plywood sheets of medium thickness, less than 40 – 50 mm) and steel (up to 10 mm in thickness). This is enough to use the Einhell jigsaw when doing do-it-yourself repair work, because with it you can cut the laminate, saw off a piece of the plinth, and adjust the drywall sheet.

Design features

The jigsaw has a pendulum mechanism (it is more convenient to cut wood-based lumber with it), which can be adjusted and adjusted depending on the density of the material being cut, as well as LED lighting for working in low light conditions. A vacuum cleaner can be connected to the tool to collect chips using the nozzle. A plastic part is embedded in the sole, which acts as an anti-friction lining. The base can be tilted (up to 47° on both sides) to make bevel cuts. Saw blades are attached and removed without the use of an auxiliary tool (but some users say that there are backlashes in the quick-clamping mechanism, and some files hang out in it).

Just a good and inexpensive cordless jigsaw

The low price of this tool is a great temptation for those who want to buy an inexpensive cordless jigsaw. But keep in mind that neither the battery with the charger, nor even the files are included in the kit. They will have to be purchased separately. Other Einhell cordless tools will be able to run on the same batteries if you decide not to stop with a jigsaw.
