"Top" tool with the "coolest" characteristics
Brushless motors, which have a lot of advantages (reduced weight and size, increased power, improved energy efficiency, etc.), are not yet equipped with all jigsaws. But Makita DJV181Z is just one of those, because this tool is one of the “flagships” in the Makita jigsaw model line. Thanks to a powerful and high-speed motor, the jigsaw has a very large sawing depth (up to 135 mm in wood) and decent speed, and the cut quality (when using good saw blades) is almost perfect. Therefore, this model is considered a professional instrument (with a corresponding price tag).
Everything is customizable and adjustable
The design and equipment of the jigsaw allow you to flexibly adjust the tool for certain types of work. You can adjust the frequency of reciprocating movements of the file, the intensity of the pendulum stroke and the angle of inclination of the cast sole. For maximum user comfort, the device has a bright backlight, useful when working in low light conditions, and an inrush current limiter, thanks to which the tool turns on smoothly, without jerking. To work clean, you can connect the vacuum cleaner through the nozzle that is included in the kit.
The choice is up to you
This jigsaw has a mushroom handle. It is believed that this form is better suited for complex and curly cuts that require "manoeuvring" along the surface of the material being cut. But if you're doing mostly straight cuts, then the Makita DJV182Z with a more traditional D-handle might be more suitable for you. These two models are completely identical in technical characteristics and design, with the exception of the shape of the body, which affects the grip method.
