Solution for 4 seasons

In the model range of the Italian brand Ferrino, the Aral 3 tent is assigned the role of a junior 4-season solution, at least against the background of the premium Snowbound 3, ready for almost any test.

The model is prepared for light precipitation: the water resistance of the outer tent and the bottom is 3000 and 4000 mm of water column, respectively. A skirt should protect the floor from getting wet. The overall mechanical strength is provided by reinforced corners, taped seams, and a compacted RipStop fabric structure. As a result, the tent can be used both in winter in the middle latitudes and for outings into the desert.

Focus on comfort

The interior space, which in Ferrino Aral 3 is created by two aluminium arches, contributes to the comfort of three campers, because it has not only a good area (215x200 cm), but also a high enough height for this class of tents (135 cm). In a sitting position, even a tall tourist will not feel cramped.

The tent also received a rather high main vestibule, because it is formed by a separate (third) arc, so there will be no problems with protecting tourist “baggage” from the sun and other atmospheric influences. Otherwise, the layout of the model is typical for a 3-seater solution: two entrances are spaced apart, there is a pair of ventilation valves at the ends.

Useful little things

Inside, the model is equipped with everything you need, including a lantern hook, side pockets and a hanging shelf for small items. For transportation, a compression case with a sewn-in installation instruction is offered.

The disadvantages of the tent include the high price and high weight (5.2 kg), due to which the tent is among the heaviest 3-man expedition solutions. But these disadvantages are partly offset by the high quality of workmanship and durability and reliability confirmed by reviews: Ferrino Aral 3 is able to serve faithfully for at least 7-10 years.
