Model overview based on user reviews
The Gamemax GM Series power supplies offer a range of models with varying wattages, making them suitable for different needs. Users appreciate the affordable price and initial performance, especially for budget builds. However, several reviews highlight concerns about fan noise and durability, with some units experiencing issues like fan whistling or burning out over time. The design and packaging are generally well-received, but there are complaints about short and poorly placed cables. While the PSU might be adequate for basic or office setups, potential buyers should be cautious about its long-term reliability and consider alternatives if noise and component quality are critical factors.

Over time, it loses power, and the fan starts to make a terrible noise. Price Terrible quality, cost-saving on components, fan defect, performance loss over time, and the PSU barely handles a 150 watts load. |
I bought it 5 years ago to pair with an athlone 2 x3 and a vidyuha 4670 hd nothing has happened so far, not very noisy Not too noisy, never burned out not revealed |
Bought a new one, worked for 1 month, and then the fan started whistling at ultrasonic levels so loudly that it was impossible to be in the room with it! Tried to lubricate the cooler myself, but it's completely sealed with plastic on both sides, and the fan itself seems non-removable, it’s encased with a metal cap instead of a retaining ring. Garniy design of the living block and packaging + sockets for connecting cables. Not a random cooler! use Gamemax GM-600 less than month |
