Overall, just a regular mechanical keyboard. Before this I used a used Keychron K4, and the Hator supposedly has factory dampening, but you can’t feel it at all compared to the Keychron without dampening. I put on my own keycaps and have been using it for over a month. I didn’t notice at first: the backlight is always multicolor, and you can’t set a single color. Bought it in spring 2025. After 2 months, a few LEDs died. I wrote to the service center—they said bring it in, they fixed it. A month later, more LEDs died, so I took it in again. Then it failed yet again, and I got tired of hauling it back and forth. I figured even more would fail, so today, 25/09/2025, I took it to the service center because the LEDs burned out again, the ESC key stopped working, and on the numpad the (1)(7)(4) keys would add letters when pressed. When I was entering a password, I couldn’t figure out why the site wouldn’t accept my input. Then I tested in Notepad: pressing Num 1 would type a letter like g or u; Num 7 would type t or n; and 4 was acting weird too. I think the keyboard’s just getting worse and worse. Used it for about 5 months.
