The Japanese, they are Japanese in Africa. If they take up something, they do everything conscientiously and with a needle. That is why Ibanez is a very popular worldwide guitar brand with a quality mark and an impeccable reputation. You won't find bad tools at Ibanez, that's a fact. If you don't believe me, ask its endorsers: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and dozens of other famous guitarists who have Ibanez signature models to their credit.
Ibanez RG 421, which we are talking about in this review, is not just not a bad guitar, but just the same perfect for heavy rock music.
Model range and design
The RG 421 belongs to the Ibanez Standard line of electric guitars, the name of which speaks for itself. It is offered in ten versions of the deck. In the name of each Standard model there is a certain index that characterizes its main distinguishing feature from other models of this series. Specifically, the RG 421 model comes without an index, and its feature is the “oiled mahogany” body in the natural colour of oiled mahogany mahogany. The model is a classic superstrat, very comfortable for technical speed playing in any position due to two cataways in the body and a thin neck profile with 24 frets and white fret markers. Against the backdrop of a spectacular and rich texture of mahogany, blued fittings look great.
Electronics
Two passive Quantum humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions produce a fairly clear sound on a clean channel and aggressive power on overdrive with good bass response, juicy mids in staccato riffs and well-articulated highs. Simply put, the RG 421 is cool and riffs "pump" and solo "cut".
5-position humbucking mode switch allows you to achieve almost any desired sound(see diagram)
Mechanics
The guitar stays in tune even during intense, long playing, thanks to the signature fixed hardtail bridge and clamp that clamps the strings at the nut.
The Ibanez RG421 is the perfect balance for the guitarist who plays heavy styles for technique and stage performance.
