I was looking for a splitting axe to chop evenly (or not very twisted) small and medium diameter logs. I wanted to try a more modern design of a splitting axe, rather than the usual one with a wooden handle. Considering the brand, price, and appearance, I chose this model. Chopped a little with it, some oak and apple tree. It splits and chops well, I wouldn't say perfectly, but if you're chopping something straight and not too dry (logs up to 30 cm in diameter - no problem). However, thicker logs need to be chipped away in segments (rather than splitting into 2 +/- equal halves, and then those into smaller pieces). The splitter has a good shape, allowing it to function both as a splitter and an axe. The handle is comfortable, absorbing most of the vibrations and recoil (much better compared to a wooden handle). There is a hole at the end of the handle for hanging. There is a convenient sheath/case into which the metal part of the splitter can be inserted and fixed. This case has a hole for a nail (for hanging) and a handle for carrying. If the log (or piece of wood) is not straight, be prepared for it not to split on the first try: the axe may get stuck in it. By the way, you also shouldn't use the back of the axe to chop something (this is strictly prohibited). If the handle breaks, you can't put on a new one, so you must take care of the original handle almost like the apple of your eye. During splitting, the handle near the blade got worn and torn, so I wrapped it with some electrical tape (as seen in the photo) to prevent it from breaking. A convenient axe with a splitting wedge shape. I got it for chopping firewood and have already split about 6 cubic meters of hardwood. The handle shape was initially a bit uncomfortable after using an oval one, but I got used to it quickly. There are no issues with splitting wood due to the wedge shape, even though the weight is up to 2kg; it splits logs up to 40 cm in diameter, although not in one swing. There's absolutely no issue with the quality of the metal and the handle; there are no dents or chips, the handle got a bit worn, but it doesn't affect the performance.
