So, the developer Les George and his team were inspired by army patterns when creating the design of the Kershaw XCOM knife. It uses a 92 mm blade that has a smooth cutting edge and an original spear-point profile - a symmetrical sharp blade with one-sided sharpening, suitable for chopping and stabbing operations. The main manufacturing material is 8Cr13MoV chrome steel, which is characterized by excellent anti-corrosion properties, and its hardness ranges from 56 to 58 units on the HRC scale. On top of the metal, a black matte coating is applied, which protects the blade from negative influences and...acts as another important design detail. The handle is made of glass-filled nylon (CFN fiberglass), provides a sub-finger recess and protection for the hands, and is also complemented by a pocket clip for fixing to clothing. The liner lock allows you to remove the blade with one hand, while there is a lock to protect against accidental folding. |
