Pro-modification of the popular gaming laptop from Lenovo, in which the manufacturer slightly shifted the focus from gaming to professional activities. It belongs to the middle price segment, is part of the 2023 Legion line, is actually a hybrid of a gaming laptop and a laptop for “creatives”. A distinctive feature of this series is a progressive design that combines the extravagance of gaming laptops with the austerity and restraint of professional laptops.
As a result of experiments with form, Lenovo designers gave birth to a well-recognized futuristic chassis, in which the screen is attached to the very base, and aggressive air intakes in the style of Italian sports cars stick out at the back. To expand the sphere of influence, the manufacturer divided all configurations into 2 types: medium power, or a “hold me tight” style assembly.
In the first case, we are talking about a bundle of a 6-core Ryzen 5 chip and a mid-range GeForce RTX 3060 video card, in the second, an 8-core Ryzen 7 and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. The amount of RAM varies from 16 to 32 GB. Uses exceptionally fast next-generation DDR5 memory clocked at 4800 MHz and increased bandwidth. The storage role is played by either one or two SSD drives with support for the PCI-E 4.0 interface.
The total storage capacity can be up to 2048 GB. All Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptops are equipped with 16-inch premium screens that look equally good in games and while working with visual content. The following specifications are stated for the display: 16-inch matrix with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a brightness of 500 cd / m², 100% coverage of the sRGB triangle.
High dynamic range formats (HDR10, Dolby Vision) are supported, plus there are built-in NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync frame synchronizers on board. The list of additional advantages of this series includes a built-in Legion AI Engine for overclocking and optimization, a comfortable ergonomic with zone RGB backlighting, a set of USB ports expanded to 6 pieces, and a capacious battery with support for fast charging.
