a regular model, nothing special
16 December 2025
Bought a Lenovo Legion R27q-30 monitor at the Foxtrot store. Was looking for a 27-inch IPS with a 2K resolution for working with text, occasional gaming, and watching movies. Spent a long time choosing a model in the mid-price range, also considered the Lenovo Legion R27qe Gen 2. Finally settled on the R27q-30 due to its favorable price — 270 EUR, 5% cashback, a time-limited bonus program, and free delivery.

Overall, the monitor is good. The picture is sharp, vibrant, with normal contrast for IPS. It's great for working with text — high pixel density, small fonts are comfortably readable. There were no dead pixels, and no critical backlight bleeding noticed.

In games and movies, the image is good but without a pronounced "wow-effect," which is expected for this class. There is IPS glow noticeable in dark scenes, so I decided to return the monitor within the 14-day period — a personal preference.

I'd like to highlight the service from the Foxtrot store: support was prompt, a specialist contacted me the next day and explained the return process in detail. Everything went quickly and smoothly.

In conclusion: a good mid-range monitor, excellent for working with text and everyday tasks, adequate for games and movies. The service and support from the Foxtrot store are top-notch.
Excellent value for money/ features - 27" and 2K is the perfect format for work and multitasking
For text work - simply superb: high clarity, eye comfort, small fonts are easy to read
Good color reproduction, vibrant and lively colors
Good contrast for IPS
No dead pixels
High-quality construction and sleek Legion series design
Presence of IPS glow with shifts that change depending on the viewing angle.
The glow is especially noticeable in dark scenes.
In games and movies, there's no “wow-effect” — the picture is good, but lacks pronounced depth of black.
For users sensitive to IPS glow, this aspect might be critical.
