Removable antennas and work in cold weather

A characteristic feature of the LevelOne brand router is its spider-like form factor - all because of the six external antennas, three on each side. By the way, they are removable, which allows you to make the model more compact (for example, for transportation) or replace it with more powerful analogs - to increase the range.

LevelOne WAP-8021 can operate in a wide temperature range - from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius, which means it is suitable for unheated premises, including balconies, terraces, warehouses, etc. The case is also not afraid of high humidity (up to 90%), but additional protection from water will be required.

Abundance of ports

The router's strengths include a wealth of wired interfaces. First of all, it is worth highlighting the four LANs with a throughput of 1 Gbps. With their help, a stable connection without interference can be provided to several home devices at once, including a smart TV, personal PC, and game console.

The model is also equipped with two USB ports. This will allow you to simultaneously connect a flash drive that can operate in file server mode and, for example, a 4G modem to provide client devices with access to the mobile Internet.

Two frequency ranges

The dual-band router reduces interference and achieves a more reliable wireless connection. The model is assigned the AC1200 class, which means it supports a peak data transfer rate of 1200 Mbps with the following distribution: in 2.4 GHz networks - up to 300 Mbps, and at 5 GHz - up to 867 Mbps. The latter indicator is closer to the entry level by modern standards. Otherwise, the LevelOne WAP-8021 is a balanced solution with a rich set of wired interfaces.
