A strong mid-range model from the category of classic LED TVs without any newfangled bells and whistles. It has an 8-bit VA panel with the ability to display over 16.7 million shades of the color palette and support for HDR10 Pro. What's more, the TV automatically adjusts image brightness levels based on ambient lighting conditions and effectively upscales content to 4K from lower frame resolutions (using LG's α 5 Gen 6 image processor).

The refresh rate of the LG 50UR9100 screen reaches 60 Hz, however, for console gamers, the model still provides an automatic Game Optimizer gaming mode. Set-top boxes are supposed to be connected via one of the trio of HDMI ports version 2.1 with support for adaptive frame rate VRR and low latency ALLM technologies. HDMI port number “2” also has eARC support for high-quality sound transmission to an external sound bar.
