Wi-Fi classes in routers: what they are and how they affect Internet speedDeciphering and analysis of all current classes of routers

Wi-Fi without blind areas: stable signal throughout the house or apartmentSimple and efficient ways to ensure stable Wi-Fi signal in small and large rooms
My choice to purchase this device fell on the presence of 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports in it, since I use it not as an amplifier and extender of the Wi-Fi signal, but as a wireless access point for connecting it with a cable to other devices. The factor worked. : if the device is expensive, and also not assembled in China (Taiwan), plus the brand is famous, you definitely need to buy it. In fact, it turned out that the previous device, Pixlink LV-AC05 AC1200M, bought on Ali, cost a third at this price, it worked honestly until it burned out from overheating, and in all respects, it was orders of magnitude higher. When checking the speed of a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network on speedtest.net, created by an extender located 3 m from the router, the speed dropped - insignificant. When moving the device to another room (concrete walls), at a distance of approximately 8-9 meters from the router, the test speed drops by 2 times. My router is two-channel. On the signal amplifier, I had to turn off the 5 GHz extension range, since the network speed of 2.4 GHz, in two-channel mode, when tested, drops even more. 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, a compact device, a separate power adapter, the ability to mount the device on a wall, an accessible multilingual settings menu, and the presence of the Russian language. Weak coverage. When choosing and setting the mode: "Access Point", the device does not connect to the wireless network at all. It heats up significantly during operation. When moved to another room, the speed drops by half. There are reviews on the internet for earlier models from this manufacturer. Most of them are negative. My conclusion: I regret rushing into the purchase, and I am very disappointed with it, as I previously had something to compare it to. use LINKSYS RE6500 less than month |
