In the Best Traditions
A well-balanced model from a famous Japanese manufacturer offers excellent ergonomics, a comfortable weight (1.4 kg), and durability.
The FS4300 comes in the traditional Makita blue-black design with a shock-resistant rubberized plastic body and a convenient handle with a slot for a spare bit and a chuck holder.
Functionality
The screwdriver is powerful enough (570 W) to handle screwing screws into softwood, drywall, chipboard, and thin metal (self-tapping screws for metal are needed).
It heats up slightly during operation, thanks to the well-thought-out placement of ventilation holes on the body, and does not raise dust.
It is not recommended to use the model for working with plywood. A more powerful tool is needed here. The FS4300 is designed for screws up to 6mm in diameter and up to 70mm in length.
The reverse function will help easily unscrew a screw, and the depth limiter will set the required penetration distance into the surface in 0.2 mm increments. There is also an LED light under the chuck to illuminate the work area.
Performance
The model has a chuck rotation speed of up to 4000 RPM, with the possibility of electronic limitation, depending on the pressure applied to the trigger. With some skill, this feature allows craftsmen to handle large volumes of work in relatively short periods.
The tool is equipped with a metal clip for attaching to a belt, and it would be convenient to carry if the cord was not so short — only 2.5 m compared to the standard 4 m, as, for example, in the more powerful FS2300.
Another downside is the lack of a case, which is unusual for Makita tool kits.
Overall, the FS4300 model is a solid "middle" option with decent power at a very reasonable price.
