The Michelin Pilot Road 5 120/70 R17 58W adheres to the 2CT concept—the tread is dual-compound, ensuring sensitive course stability on straight paths and confident cornering.

The tire carcass is built according to the ACT+ concept. The tread structure includes considerable grooves for instant removal of excess water from the contact patch, with sharp edges of the recesses enhancing the grip properties of the rubber. The tire is aimed at the sport-touring segment of motorcycles and is available in a wide range of sizes for the common R17 wheel diameter. In a special Road 5 Trail version, it is intended for use on heavy touring enduro motorcycles.
