Outdated Product
Ultra-compact low-cost gaming card for small-sized ITX gaming cases. In the hierarchy of gaming cards based on AMD chips, it occupies one of the initial positions, that is, in demanding games of 2016-2017, it is able to provide comfortable performance at a resolution of no higher than 1920x1080 and medium-high graphics quality settings. Moderate cost makes it a good choice for the low-cost conscious gamer. The model is based on the Polaris 21 GPU, which has 1024 compute units, 64 texture units and 16 raster units operating at 1175/1275 MHz. To store high-resolution textures, the MSI RX 560 AERO ITX 4G OC graphics card provides 4 GB of GDDR5 graphics memory with an effective frequency of 7000 MHz. Such a bundle has a relatively low heat dissipation (up to 75 W), is devoid of connectors for...connecting additional power and does not impose strict requirements on the system power supply. The cooling system is simple, provides a comfortable thermal regime and is convenient for cleaning from accumulating dust. Thanks to the presence of 3 interface ports of all popular standards (HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI-D Dual Link), it is possible to connect to any modern monitor. Supports 3-monitor configurations and AMD FreeSync image synchronization technology.

Faster than RX 460

The Radeon RX 560 is the successor to the Radeon RX 460, which should take the fight to the low-cost segment of the terribly popular GeForce GTX 1050. Unlike the previous generation, the RX 560 is based on the Polaris 21 chip, which has all 1024 compute units activated instead of 896, and the number of texture units has been increased from 56 to 64. In general, a grain of chicken, and the power increased by a little more than 10%.

Quiet and cold

According to official specifications, the core frequency of the RX 560 is claimed in the range from 1175 MHz in the base to 1275 MHz with boost. In the case of this model, MSI strove for silence and reliability, so the graphics card was not equipped with an additional power slot, and the core frequency was fixed at 1196 MHz. Accordingly, the overclocking potential here is not the most powerful, it is extremely problematic to squeeze out more than an additional 6-7% from the core. The other side of the coin is the quiet and efficient cooling system. Even loaded with heavy games like Metro Exodus and pushed to the limit, the MSI RX 560 AERO remains virtually silent.

A worthy competitor to the GTX 1050

In terms of performance, MSI's RX 560 actually shows the same numbers as its direct brother or competitor MSI GeForce GTX 1050 — 50 FPS in Battlefield 1 and 60 FPS in DOOM 2016 at Full HD resolution and high settings. In most cases, NVIDIA is ahead of the pack, but Radeon has a trump card in the form of 4 GB of video memory, which is especially critical in modern demanding games.
