They are part of the MSI Sword series, which combines laptops at the junction of entry-level and mid-level. The hardware platform of MSI Sword 15 A11UD is an Intel Core i5/i7 (11th generation, Tiger Lake architecture), which supports multi-threading and automatic overclocking, while demonstrating high single-core performance. 3D graphics are handled by the GeForce RTX 3050/3050 Ti (Nvidia Ampere family) with 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and dedicated cores for hardware lighting tracing and DLSS 2.0 artificial scaling.

The processor and graphics card are complemented by 8/16 GB of DDR4 RAM and an M.2 SSD drive with a capacity of 512 to 1024 GB. The manufacturer left free additional slots, so the user can independently increase the amount of RAM to 64 GB and install a second M.2 SSD drive into the system. All models of the Sword 15 family are equipped with fairly simple 15.6-inch Full HD displays (IPS technology) with standard color reproduction (45% NTSC), wide viewing angles and an increased refresh rate of 144 Hz.
