"Paton" VDI-Mini cooks perfectly with different electrodes: "twos", "triples" and "fours" (despite the claimed maximum of 3.2 mm). He handles simple welding jobs with confidence. Welding current reaching 150 A is, of course, far from a record. But this “baby” creates a very insignificant load on the network, does not knock out traffic jams and can be connected to a relatively small generator. It does not "act up" at all when connected to a network with a voltage that jumps up to 260 V or drops to 170 V (but at 170 V it will not be able to work with electrodes with a diameter of more than 3 mm).
Specifications and equipment — at the proper level
The device is compact and weighs only 3.35 kg (if it were to throw off another three hundred grams, it would fall into the category of very light in the catalog of inverters). But the small case inside is decently “stuffed”. The little Paton has all the features you need: hot start, arc force and anti-stick. Electronic boards have excellent dust protection (two layers of heat-resistant varnish), which ensures the reliability and durability of the equipment. The cooling is quite decent (at full load, the utilization rate is 40%, and at a current strength of 94 A or less, you can work without pauses and smoke breaks at all).
