How to choose a welding machineKey information about modern inverters and semi-automatic welding machines

Small "Paton" for relatively simple tasks

The Paton ECO-160 welding inverter from the Eco line is intended for amateur or semi-professional use. With moderate power (5.5 kVA) and good protection against voltage surges (works with input voltages from 170 V to 260 V), it works well with mid-range generators and in unstable power grids (for example, in garage cooperatives and holiday villages). The model weighs only 3.7 kg and comes with a carrying strap, which is convenient for traveling teams. Welders of any level will appreciate useful features such as hot start, arc force and anti-stick protection.

Settings and features

The welding current is adjustable in the range from 20 A to 160 A, which allows the Paton ECO-160 to be used for manual arc welding with electrodes from ⌀ 2 mm to ⌀ 4 mm. High open circuit voltage (80 V) ensures easy ignition even when using low-quality electrodes. Dust protection (two-layer varnish coating of all electronic boards and connections) allows you to work in dusty conditions. Forced cooling by a fan prevents overheating (when using ⌀ 3 mm electrodes, you can work without stopping if the welding current does not exceed 101 A). Users note the high quality of the fittings and long copper cables (3 m).

Made in Ukraine

All processes of assembly, testing and adjustment of Paton welding machines are carried out at the plant in Kyiv, despite the use of foreign parts. This sets Paton apart from other brands that often locate production in China. The Paton ECO-160 is also available as the Paton ECO-160-C, with a plastic carrying case for carrying the inverter and accessories.
