The Paton ECO-160 welding machine has left me extremely satisfied. It's an easy-to-use device that pleasantly surprised me with its simplicity in arc ignition and maintenance. In fact, using this machine was my first experience in welding, so I'm very glad that the first impression was not overshadowed by anything. The machine is compact, the welding cables have sufficient length, although I once thought of making longer cables for more convenience. The ground clamp and electrode holder are of very high quality. I should note the very sensitive welding current regulator, with which I struggled for a long time trying in thick gloves to set a value on the display that is a multiple of 5, but later I overcame my inner perfectionist since in practice a difference of 2-3 amperes is not noticeable at all. I got the model with a case, and I want to assure you that it deserves a separate review. It accommodated the welding machine itself, three packs of electrodes (5, 2.5, and 1 kg with a diameter of 3mm), an angle grinder 125 with equipment, welding cables, a hammer, and a hand metal brush. The wall thickness is quite substantial, according to my measurements, about 5 mm, but the case remains flexible, which in my opinion will prevent it from cracking with a serious impact. Overall, the Paton ECO-160 is an excellent welding machine that genuinely exceeded my expectations, as I always thought welding was an impossible skill for me, although I realize I'm far from calling myself even a beginner welder. I have no doubt that this machine will last until that moment and will serve for many years. High-quality fittings. Nice case, but it's a separate accessory. Model without an output choke, the arc is rigid and quite unpleasant. Welding thin metal due to the unregulated arc force and hot start is nearly impossible. The service center does not fulfill its obligations in supporting the welding machine. use Paton ECO-200-C month or more i recommend it don't buy |
