Pirelli Scorpion ATR MO

Pirelli Scorpion ATR is an all-terrain light truck tyre that is versatile on both on-road and off-road conditions. Made with Pirelli's unique, silica-enhanced tread compound, the tyre is best suited for all 4X4 pick up, crossover and sports utility vehicles. Pirelli Scorpion ATR is made for adventure. A tenacious tyre that is sportive enough to mee... moret any terrain – rough or smooth, on-road or off-road – the Scorpion ATR rides with ease on wet roads, slushy surfaces and even challenging winter conditions. The tyre comes with a quiet-running, symmetric, all-terrain tread pattern that evacuates water very quickly. While Scorpion ATR's broad and solid shoulder helps with directional stability and steering response, the interlocked tread blocks of the center rib provide acute on-road and off-road traction. The circumferential and lateral shoulder grooves wick off water quickly, enhancing the tyre's aquaplaning resistance and wet grip. The siped blocks provide good traction on rough terrain, loose surfaces like gravel, sand or snow, making Scorpion ATR an ideal fit for SUVs. The Scorpion ATR is tough to the core. A tyre of strong character, its internal structure includes twin seat belts with spirally wrapped nylon cord to support the tread area. This support facilitates the tyre by providing predictable handling and control while braking/cornering. The polyester cords also add stability to the tyre while the center tread cuts off road noise, ensuring control with comfort. Strong, aggressive and bold, Pirelli Scorpion ATR is a tyre for any tough terrain. With low rolling noise and high aquaplaning resistance, the Scorpion delivers performance of the highest order, in the typical Pirelli style. Highlights of Pirelli Scorpion ATR:Versatile tyre that can offer smooth ride on all terrainsIdeal for SUVs, light trucks and crossoversBroad shoulder ensures stability, control & cornering precisionCenter rib provides on & off road traction without noiseAggressive & strong build supported by twin seat belts on the insideHigh aquaplaning resistance & good wet grip even in snow

Model overview based on user reviews
The Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires are noted for their strong performance on various surfaces, both dry and wet, and have a robust, appealing design. They are particularly suitable for off-road use, handling gravel and dirt roads confidently. However, users have reported that they are quite noisy and heavy, which contributes to a stiffer ride and increased fuel consumption. While they perform well in mud, they are not ideal for highway driving, as they can "float" and are prone to hydroplaning in puddles. Despite these drawbacks, they offer reliable off-road capabilities, though some users have experienced durability issues over time.
Pros

Cons

Perfectly suitable as off-road tires.
21 February 2011
The rubber has good characteristics and has performed positively on any road. After changing it, fuel consumption increased by about a liter or more. I tested it on gravel and dirt roads at speed—it behaved confidently and never let me down. It can also be relied on in mud. However, it doesn't like puddles, and if you hit a puddle in a rut, it risks hydroplaning.
The rubber performs well on any surface, both dry and wet. Strong, appealing design.
Very noisy, heavy, and consequently stiff due to its strength. Fuel consumption has increased.

Not for the highway or the mud. Gets stuck in mud, "floats" on the highway.
