Modular video recorder PlayMe Tio S will delight car owners with high-quality picture recording and a number of additional functions. And now about everything in order.
Modular design
The device consists of three parts: a mounting pad with an adhesive base for fixing on the windscreen, a removable GPS module and a head unit with a camera and a screen. The modules mate with a magnetic bracket with contacts for direct power supply. PlayMe Tio S shoots video in the usual FullHD format (1920x1080 pixels), and in order to improve image quality, a non-removable polarizing filter is installed on top of the device's camera lens (eliminates glare and reflections).
On control
The PlayMe Tio S DVR is equipped with a customizable G-sensor, supports WDR technology (improves the “readability” of the picture in scenes with bright lighting changes), notifies the driver about stationary cameras and radars. Databases with their location are updated via the microUSB connector in the detachable GPS unit. Sometimes the gadget mistakenly determines the location of speed cameras, but this rarely happens.
Remote access
The left end of the body of the car recorder responds to gesture control — just hold your hand in front of it and the current video fragment will immediately be protected from unwanted overwriting. In general, access to the footage and the expanded parameters of the device is opened through the RoadCam or Antscam mobile applications. Setting up the device and watching video from it is much more convenient from a smartphone, because. The screen on the back of the DVR case turned out to be, frankly, small.
