I advise you to take it :) For the price, the most pleasant reader with a touch screen. You can install a 16 Gig card and that will be enough for thousands of books! It is very convenient to read. The screen is very convenient in size - not too small, but a larger one is not needed. The sensor responds to the slightest touch, making it very convenient to turn pages without even touching the screen. Holds a charge for a long time, accepts books normally (I downloaded them in two different formats, and received them both with a bang). There is a little glare on the screen, but it doesn't bother me at all. There is no screen backlight, but this is also not a big problem. |
I bought it, no regrets. But if you have money, it's better to buy the PRS-650. The contrast is better. I found out after the purchase. A sufficient amount of memory, in principle, is enough for me. Reads the text well, does not slow down, the sound of the player... The screen glares, but over time you get used to it. |
I am disappointed. In the first week of usage, it froze. I had to restart it using RESET. I travel a lot, and I was reading when I didn't have a computer on hand, nor had I acquired a charger with an adapter yet. At home, I couldn't power it up from the computer. Took it to a workshop, they said Sonys, when they completely shut down, can only power up from 220V. Had to urgently buy an adapter because a regular charger (my brother charges his book with a Motorola charger) could wreck the book. Well, I gulped and shelled out 247 UAH. Half a year later, at one fine moment, I take out my reader (I carry it in a separate pocket of my bag), and there are some lines on the screen. The warranty service said I damaged it somehow, and it's not covered by warranty, needs a screen replacement. (Replacement costs 1600 UAH while the reader itself costs 1450). How I could have damaged it is unknown, if in the morning I was reading in the metro, and in the afternoon, two lines appeared on the screen. Bought a new one, cheaper and with a full set (charger, case, ability to read in the dark, and even watch movies). SONY lay in my desk, occasionally extracting information from notes. One day, right before my eyes, the same kind of lines ran across the screen again, only now they covered the entire screen. And it also shut down completely and didn't respond to anything. Went back to the technician. He said the system crashed. He told me Sony keeps him fed, as many people bring them in and sighed: "Oh, those SONYs!" it is possible to turn pages with your left hand (very important for me, because I am completely left-handed) it is possible to use the book as an organizer it hangs constantly, there is no mains charger included, not every one is suitable for it, you need an adapter, that’s an extra 230-290 UAH, there is no cover included, it also cost me a lot of money, the screen is not backlit in the dark (that’s why the cover is expensive, because with a flashlight), but it glares in the sun and you have to look for a comfortable position; therefore, because of the backlit cover, it’s heavy, and your hand gets tired in transport. FB2 does not read, books have to be converted to txt or PDF. |
