The Thule Touring line of boxes has several representatives, the differences between which lie in size and capacity (Sport, S, M, L and Alpine models). All of them are united by a common style of execution and a load capacity of up to 50 kg, which is not much less than that of most competitors in the workshop.

Aerodynamic characteristics

The boot is attached to the crossbars, which, in turn, are mounted on the roof rails. Its shape is designed in such a way as to minimize the effect of frontal resistance to oncoming air flows. Due to the excellent aerodynamic characteristics, the presence of the installed box has practically no effect on the speed of the vehicle and fuel consumption.

Ski transportation

The internal volume of the usable space of the L model is 420 liters. In addition to space for cargo, it provides for the possibility of transporting skis or snowboards. For these purposes, the owner of the box will need to get the Thule Box Ski Carrier Adapter 694-8, which is often not included in the package. With its purchase, it becomes possible to place 4-5 pairs of skis or 3-4 snowboards up to 180 cm long inside the boot.

Reliability

The lid of the box is equipped with a double-sided opening mechanism and a Central Lock locking mechanism. The central lock ensures the simultaneous closing of the boot locks on both sides, and if any of the locking points is not closed, the owner of the box simply will not be able to remove the key from the lock. So the Swedish manufacturer takes care of the safety of your belongings. In addition, Thule provides a two-year warranty against all defects and damage to the case, even if caused by normal wear and tear or discoloration of materials.
