Universal roof mount for transporting a bicycle without frame contact. The bike is secured to the mount by two wheels: a special hook is provided for holding the front wheel, and a ratchet strap for the rear. This design solution allows for the attachment of bicycles with unconventional frames. Moreover, unlike many similar stands, there is no need to remove the front wheel to transport the bike.
The Thule UpRide 599 is mounted on crossbars, whether factory-installed or separately installed. The mount can be placed on the right or left side—whichever is more convenient for the owner. The stand is made from aluminum alloy and weighs 7.7 kg. The load capacity of the device is up to 20 kg. It is standard to install bicycles with wheel sizes from 20" to 29" and tire widths up to 3". To secure mud tires with tread widths up to 5", which are often found on fat bike wheels, the Thule UpRide Fatbike Adapter can be used.
