One of the younger models of 3.5″ internal hard drives from the Toshiba P300 line of consumer HDD drives, which includes models from 500 GB to 6 TB. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, designed for use in multi-purpose home, office and gaming configurations. A capacity of 1 TB will be enough to store a wide range of working projects, moderate volumes of SD / HD / UHD-resolution media content and a set of software distributions.
It can be used as a PC system drive, work as part of a RAID array or paired with a more efficient SSD drive. In the latter case, it can be used as part of entry-level workstations, the operation of which does not involve a heavy load on the data storage subsystem. The Toshiba P300 HDWD110EZSTA shows impressive sequential read/write speeds (up to 195 Mbps) and has sufficient cache memory (64 MB). Inside this model is one high-capacity magnetic platter and a pair of read/write heads. Thanks to the high rotation speed of 7200 rpm, it shows low data access latency. Demonstrates low power consumption (only 3.7 W in standby mode), does not require a separate active cooling system. Connects to a SATA3 port, which is backwards compatible with SATA/SATA2.

Toshiba P300 is the cheapest one-terabyte 3.5-inch hard drive in east european retail, which replaced the Toshiba DT01ACA100 model, which is gradually retiring. It is a classic 7200rpm high speed HDD with SATA III interface, backwards compatible with older SATA and SATA II motherboards.

The speed of sequential reading and writing of large files is 180 MB / s at the beginning of the disk, while towards the end it drops by about a third. Small files scattered over the entire surface of the disk are processed even more slowly. This disadvantage is partially eliminated by a large 64-MB cache from RAM by the standards of hard drives. For the low-cost gamer
Being cheap yet fast enough, the Toshiba P300 is great for building an entry-level gaming PC. With an extremely limited low-cost that does not allow you to fork out for a separate SSD, the P300 is quite adequate to cope with the role of a disk on which the operating system and games will be installed. And even its only drawback — relatively high power consumption — cannot be called critical in the case of a desktop PC.
