Excellent purchase. Good hard drive. Fast, quiet, SATA III, what is especially pleasing is the presence of 64MB cache. Great. If desired, you can install the system on the hard drive if you're reluctant to spend money on an SSD, and use the operating system comfortably. It doesn't heat up much. Advised to get a lot of storage for a reasonable price from a reputable brand, I bought it and have no regrets. Bought it for home use - massive media library, didn't want to overpay so I went for the green 3TB. Quiet operation, especially compared to my old drive.
