Failed model, almost in everything except wired connection
20 December 2024
I'll make one clarification. I got this router as a prize in a competition. It was given to me in a sealed package, and when I unpacked it, it looked brand new. So, I blame all the issues on the manufacturer.

I'll start by saying that the web interface for this router is just terrible, it's such a mess that even *@$#% would be confused by it. The settings are organized haphazardly, making it anything but intuitive for the user. About a quarter of the features (both important and not so much) don't work at all and cannot be enabled. The number of clients you can prioritize and set speed for is limited to 10 entries (which is just ridiculous). The time is automatically set incorrectly in the settings, so I had to manually adjust it because some sites complained about the time mismatch. The online firmware update doesn't work – the router doesn't recognize it, even though a newer version was available on the manufacturer's official website. These are most of the software problems.

The hardware issues are also serious.

The Wi-Fi on the 5 GHz frequency constantly drops, no matter what I do. I reset the settings to factory defaults. It didn't help. I tried enabling settings that were supposed to improve Wi-Fi network stability. It didn't help.

Wi-Fi at the 2.4 GHz frequency cuts the connection speed by two-thirds. I'm forced to use it, but even then it sometimes has issues. I read that this might be due to a large number of other networks on the same frequency. When I open the list of all available networks on my smartphone – there are indeed many (external).
The quality of the Internet through the wired connection is the only thing that somewhat compensates for all its problems, but it doesn't remove them from the list. When I have the opportunity to purchase a better router to replace the one I currently have, the only thing I will keep is the power adapter, as it seems to be well-made.
Stability of Wi-Fi operation at a frequency of 5 GHz.
Data transfer speed in the Wi-Fi network at a frequency of 2.4 GHz.
Terrible web interface, in which about 1/4 of the functions either do not work or have limitations (which ideally should not be there).
Could not find a smartphone app to configure the router, perhaps the developer removed it due to low quality.

Port unification

Totolink X2000R is the latest Wi-Fi 6 AX wireless router. The wired connection is represented by five gigabit Ethernet ports, all of which are unified, without a strict division into input WANs and output LANs. TV over IPTV Internet cable is supported, unless of course this service is provided by your provider.

Smart Broadcasting

If the Beamforming technology for effectively wrapping around walls, columns and other indoor obstacles with a radio signal appeared in Wi-Fi 5 AC, then OFDMA became the main innovation of Wi-Fi 6 AX. It divides the radio channel into smaller segments, which increases the data transfer rate and reduces frequency overlap for different client devices.

Antenna quartet

All this together results in Wi-Fi speeds up to 1500 Mbps: at a frequency of 5 GHz up to 1200 Mbps and up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz. And four +5dB external antennas provide precise transmit and receive directivity. MU-MIMO 2x2 multi-streaming and WPA3 encryption are supported. The router is able to combine with others of the same kind into a single Mesh network.
