The mid-budget wireless bike computer from the VDO brand is a simple solution from the “nothing extra” category. In addition to the head unit, the model is equipped with a wheel speed sensor, which provides the amateur cyclist with data on the riding speed (current, maximum and average), the distance traveled and the total mileage, as well as the travel time. The VDO R1 WL bike computer is easy to install, the wires do not need to be carefully fixed to the frame, and both the head unit and the wheel speed sensor can be easily removed at any time.
A monochrome 2-line screen measuring 27 x 35 mm is provided for reading data: the current speed is always displayed in the upper field, and the data can be switched on the lower field, up to the time display (clock function). For setting and control, there is one single button on the lower end of the case. Additional features include non-volatile memory, which means that when replacing the batteries, the training statistics will not disappear, IPX7 moisture protection and a battery life of about 2 years.
