CATEYE Padrone Smart+

The debutant of the CATEYE brand line in 2024 is a wireless bike computer in the mid-price segment. The model is notable for the presence of a Bluetooth wireless communication module, which allows synchronization with a smartphone and, among other things, receiving notifications about calls or SMS messages directly on the head unit. Bluetooth also expands compatibility with various sensors: you can connect a heart rate monitor, cadence sensor and other sensors to the device (they are purchased separately, but can be included in certain configuration options, which is worth checking before buying).

The CATEYE Padrone Smart+ bike computer is ready for coordinated work with popular training services, including Strava and TrainingPeaks, and can be used in tandem with Shimano DI2 speed switches. The model has a built-in altimeter, which allows you to monitor the altitude above sea level during rides and track its differences, and also provides calorie calculation, stopwatch and timer functions, and automatic start-stop. To display data, there is a 3-line flexible display with informative backlighting and battery level indication. Separately, it is worth highlighting good moisture protection, which complies with the IPX8 standard, as well as operation from CR2032 batteries: they should be enough for at least 4 months of regular use.
