Powerful and affordable 512 GB M.2 SSD with PCI-E Gen3 x4 (NVMe v1.3) support. It belongs to the initial price category, is a representative of the universal WD Blue line, which includes inexpensive NVMe SSDs that are ready to solve a fairly wide range of tasks: from games and multimedia to working with creative applications. The drive has a compact size that complies with the 2280 standard and is compatible with all motherboards equipped with an M.2 port that supports 2/4 PCI-E Gen3 lanes.
The heart of the device is the SanDisk 20-82-01008-a1 controller, designed and manufactured in-house by Western Digital. Like most brothers in the Blue series, the WD Blue SN570 cannot boast of having dedicated memory for the DRAM buffer. The drive is based on 96-layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory. Data exchange interface - PCI-E 3.0 4x. Under these conditions, the WD Blue SN570 squeezes out almost the maximum, writing information at a maximum speed of 3000 MB / s.
At the same time, data is read from memory at a speed of 3500 MB / s, which is quite close to the performance of drives with PCI-E 4.0. Add to all this a decent IOPS (460K read, 450K write) and you get impressively fast loading of the operating system, resource-intensive professional applications and modern gaming blockbusters, which often weigh more than 100 GB. The high level of quality is confirmed by the official five-year warranty from the manufacturer and an impressive overwrite resource of 600 TB.
