Main bowls

The number of main bowls provided in the product design.

The simplest variant of the design is 1 main bowl - a traditional, familiar to many variants of kitchen sinks. In addition, models are available with two main bowls - the same or almost the same size. This design provides additional features: for example, one bowl can be filled with soapy water and put dirty dishes there to «decompose» dried dirt, and in the second bowl - rinse dishes that have been in soap solution. On the other hand, it should be borne in mind that sinks on 2 bowls are more cumbersome and expensive than single bowls.

Separately, we note that there are sinks in which the main bowl is supplemented by an auxiliary capacity of much smaller sizes. Such a container is intended for defrosting (see below) and is not the main bowl, so such products in our catalog are one-cup.

Additional bowl

The presence of a separate additional bowl.

Such a capacity has the form of a small additional bowl (approximately half the main). It can be useful not only for thawing, but also for other tasks - for example, washing fruit or washing pasta through a complete colander (see «Extra»). The convenience of this function is that when using the container - the main bowl remains free and can be used for other purposes: for example, nothing prevents washing the dishes in it.

Surface type

Type of washing surface made of stainless steel (cf. «Body material»).

Glossy. Brilliant, mirror surface, distinguished by attractive appearance. On the other hand, on such a surface quickly appear contamination and mechanical damage (traces from dried water, fingerprints, scratches, etc.), so to preserve the appearance it needs to be cleaned regularly, or even polished.

Matte. The matte surface does not look as bright as glossy - it is fainter, without pronounced reflections. On the other hand, such surfaces are less susceptible to contamination and damage: fingerprints, traces of dried water, scratches and scuffs on such surfaces are not as visible as on gloss.

Textured. Surface having a relief pattern with a depth of a fraction of a millimeter. This material is most convenient and practical from the point of view of maintenance, it perfectly masks contamination and is well resistant to scratches. The main drawback of textured surfaces is higher cost than matt and glossy. In addition, contamination and bacteria can accumulate in grooves, so clean such sinks should be with special care.

Minimum cabinet width (base)

The smallest width of the cabinet, pedestal or other base required for the installation of the sink. By width in this case means the distance between the side walls of the cabinet (base). If the width of the sink is too small, it will not get the necessary support, and its normal use will be impossible.
Main minimum dimensions: >less than 45 cm, 45 cm, 50 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm, more than 80 cm.

Country of origin

There are many national stereotypes: some countries seem more attractive to many users than others. However, in our time these stereotypes are practically grounded. First, in the country of origin of the brand, often only the headquarters of the manufacturer, and the production may be located in another State. Second, the origin from a certain country is not a guarantee of quality: everything depends on how carefully a manufacturer controls its products. Therefore, to assess the quality should be guided not by «nationality», but primarily by the reputation of a particular brand and price category of the product. Among the countries represented are: Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, list", > 3653/href/list."/list/53/pr-36269/">Switzerland, Japan.
