Trigger lock

The presence of a trigger lock in the design of the spray gun (see "Type").

In some situations — for example, when watering for a long time, or if the user does not have very strong hands — it can be inconvenient to keep the trigger pressed all the time. For such cases, it is possible to fix the trigger in the “on” position and not waste energy on holding it in the working position.

Pressure control

The presence of its own pressure regulator in the design of the sprayer.

In fact, in this case we are talking about a pressure regulator, in other words, the intensity of irrigation. The benefit of this function is obvious: it allows you to optimally adjust the sprayer to certain working conditions, for example, increase the pressure for watering a large area and lower it in a flower bed with delicate flowers. And in some models, this regulator can also play the role of a switch, completely blocking the flow of water if necessary. On the other hand, the regulator affects the price of the device, and changing the pressure is often possible on the tap to which the sprayer is connected.

Rod length

The length of the extension rod (see above) provided in the design of the sprayer.

On the one hand, a large length allows you to reach further (this is especially useful if you cannot walk on the watered area); on the other hand, it makes the atomizer less manoeuvrable and agile, and for cramped conditions it may turn out to be generally unsuitable. Therefore, if you decide to choose a model with an extension rod, you should carefully evaluate the conditions in which it is planned to be used.

The shortest modern spray booms are about half a metre long, and the longest can exceed 2 m. Note that there are also telescopic models with variable length; for them, in this case, the maximum length is indicated, in the unfolded position.
