Shape

General shape of the pool. Usually, this form corresponds to the outlines of both the outer and inner sides.

In general, this indicator primarily affects the ease of installation; it is worth choosing a pool according to its shape, taking into account where it is planned to put it. In addition, individual options have their own nuances. So, the round shape provides the greatest volume with the smallest perimeter length; in addition, it is considered the most durable, because. there are no corners in the design, as in oval models. At the same time, square and rectangular models are also quite reliable, and the mentioned corners can play the role of "seats", which in some cases is more convenient than a round shape. In turn, non-standard models are most often made in the form of polygons, but in general, the shape can be any — for example, in the form of a fish, a ship, etc.

Volume

One of the most important parameters for any inflatable pool. It depends on the volume how large the pool will be and how many people can simultaneously take water procedures in it. Choose a pool should be based on who it is purchased for. So, for children under the age of one year, it is better to choose small solutions with a volume of up to 100-200 liters with low sides. For children under 3 years old, you can choose a model with a volume of about 300 liters. For children over the age of 6, you can already buy large, family pools. But at the same time, experts recommend choosing the height of the sides, based on the height of the smallest family member.

Usually, the volume is calculated at 80% filling of the pool. Another important fact is that the larger the volume of the pool, the more care will be needed for it.

Filter

The type of filter that the pool is equipped with.

The filter provides water purification from various impurities and contaminants — dust, specks that have entered the water, etc. It is more convenient to filter water than to change it entirely every time it gets dirty, and it is also less costly from the financial point of view. Modern inflatable pools can be equipped with the following types of filters:

— Sandy. As the name suggests, these devices work by passing water through special sand. Such filters have a higher throughput, besides, they are cheaper to operate than cartridge filters, because are reusable: if the filter element is dirty, it is enough to arrange a backwash — and the device is ready for use again. On the other hand, such devices are rather bulky, and their efficiency is relatively low, so they are rarely found in inflatable pools.

— Cartridge. This category includes filters that use special cartridges as filter elements. Theoretically, the filling of such a cartridge can be anything, but in fact, special membranes made of polypropylene or other polymeric materials are most often used. This type of filter is much more compact than sand filters, easier to install and easier to fit into the overall design of the pool, which makes this option optimal for inflatable tanks. However the filter elements are consumables, if the cartridge becomes dirty, it must be changed to a new one; however,...cartridges are relatively inexpensive, and this can hardly be called a serious drawback. The performance situation is the same: cartridge filters are slower than sand filters, but this is not critical given the small capacity of inflatable pools. Moreover, manufacturers usually select filters taking into account the specific volume of water that they have to deal with.

Recall that if necessary, the filter can be purchased separately.

Performance

Performance of the pump supplied with the pool (see above).

It refers to the amount of water that the unit can pump per hour. Knowing this amount and the volume of the pool (see above), you can estimate how long it will take to filter it.

Note that manufacturers usually choose the performance of a complete filter, based on the optimal compromise between good speed and low cost, as well as the weight of the unit itself. Therefore, in fact, this parameter may be required mainly in the case of searching for a replacement for the standard filter.

More features

Gorka. The slide is found in inflatable pools, intended mainly for children. Its device may be different. So, in some models, the slide is directed into the pool, in others — out, "overboard"; there are also double-sided designs. The slide can be an integral part of the pool, inflated with it, or installed separately. Such devices may vary in height; there may be several. And some pools are entirely made in the form of a slide (with sides at the bottom to hold water).

Water effects. The presence of additional water effects in the pool — for example, a canopy with jets watering bathers, or a fountain. Thanks to this equipment, bathing becomes more interesting, new features for games appear. However, note that for the operation of water effects, good water pressure is needed, which requires a pump or water supply to be connected to the pool.

Canopy. The presence of a canopy in the design of the pool. The size and device of the canopy can be different: it can cover the entire area of the pool or only part of it, be made inflatable, folding, removable, non-removable, etc. Anyway, this function is highly desirable in sunny weather: even a small canopy can effectively cover the pool from direct sunlight, protecting the people inside from burns and overheating. This is especially important if small children swim in the pool.

Inflatable bottom. The presence of an inflatable bottom in the design of the pool. Due to the thickness and softness, such a bottom is more comfortable than a solid film; in addition, it is considered optimal for uneven surfaces, because. masks pits and ledges under the pool. The main disadvantage of models with this feature is a higher cost than analogues with a bottom in the form of a film.

Air massage. The presence of an air massage system in the design of the pool. Such a system consists of a set of nozzles on the bottom and/or walls of the pool, as well as a compressor that pumps air into these nozzles. Due to this, a lot of bubbles are formed, providing a massage effect. Air massage is pleasant, it has a noticeable relaxing effect and can improve mood. It is also believed that this function has a therapeutic effect — in particular, it improves the condition of the skin and the functioning of the lymphatic system. And for children, "bubble" water looks funny and also serves as additional entertainment.

— Timer. Electronic control of air massage, which allows you to turn off this function after a certain time. Thus, you can choose the optimal time for your needs and not resort to manual shutdown.

Staircase. The presence of a ladder in the scope of delivery of the pool. Large, family models with sides a metre high and above are equipped with a ladder: it is very inconvenient to climb into such containers without additional devices. Usually, stairs are made of plastic or metal and are made removable — this simplifies storage and transportation when folded. They are also sold separately, however, the complete ladder is convenient in that it optimally matches the height of the pool.

Awning. The presence of an awning in the scope of delivery of the pool. The awning is useful in order to cover the tank during "non-working" hours — so that leaves, insects and other debris do not get into it. It is faster and more convenient than draining the water and folding the pool every time. Of course, third-party tools can also be used for such purposes — for example, a piece of tarpaulin of the appropriate size. However, a complete awning is much more convenient — it is optimally suited in terms of dimensions, moreover, it can have devices for secure fixing on the pool.

Bedding. The presence of bedding in the scope of delivery of the pool. This device performs two main functions. Firstly, it provides additional protection against punctures — an important feature, given that inflatable pools are often installed directly on the ground, where there can be pebbles, knots and other sharp objects. Secondly, this function can also be useful for the convenience of bathers: getting out of the pool, it is more convenient to first stand on the bedding, and not on bare ground. The bedding can also be selected separately, however, the complete product fits optimally in size, which saves the user from the hassle of selecting.

Air nozzles

The number of nozzles for air massage. Naturally, the more of them, the better such a massage will be and a larger area can be affected. At the same time, numerous air nozzles requires a more powerful compressor, which in turn affects the price. Or the abundance of holes reduces the performance of the massage.

Material

The main material used in the construction of the pool.

In modern inflatable materials, a variety of polymeric materials are used — rubber, PVC, vinyl and others. Usually, regardless of the name, these materials are strong and reliable enough to be used in accordance with the instructions, so you can not pay much attention to this parameter. If you still want to pay attention to all the characteristics, including materials, then it is worth considering two nuances:

— Under the same name (for example, "vinyl" or "PVC"), materials with different strengths, thicknesses and performance properties can be hidden. Therefore, when assessing the quality of the pool, it is worth focus not only and not so much on the name of the material, but on the price category of the product as a whole.
— Operating limits for different materials (and even varieties of the same material) can be different. Inflatable pools anyway should be protected from sharp objects and open flames, however, other restrictions may be provided — for example, for use in cold weather or for the time spent in the sun. These points should be clarified according to the instructions.

Inner size

The size of the internal "working" part of the pool, i.e. exactly those length and width (diameter) that are available for swimming. Note that the wall thickness of different models can vary significantly, thus a large pool in terms of overall dimensions may not have such solid internal dimensions.
