Spray modes

The number of spray modes provided in the device.

Spray modes differ primarily in the features of the water jets pouring from the sprayer. Note that the ability to regulate the jet is provided both in nozzles and in showers (see "Type of nozzle"), however, in the first case, the adjustment (from jet to fine "fog") is carried out smoothly, and there is no talk of individual modes. But in shower heads, several separate options are often provided: a classic shower (many small jets), increased pressure (a small number of holes with a small diameter work), spraying (using a divider that breaks the flow into small drops), mist, etc. This makes the device versatile, allowing you to select the best option depending on the situation. Switching modes is most often done by turning the nozzle.

Nozzle material

The material from which the spray nozzle is made is the nozzle itself or the shower (see "Type of nozzle"). This parameter may not match the case material.

— Plastic. Plastic is often considered a sign of a cheap product, but this is not entirely true in the case of hand sprayers. Having a low cost, this material is really inferior to metal in terms of strength and durability; however, the latter in this case is not critical — except that you need to clean the contaminated nozzle more carefully so as not to damage it and not worsen the characteristics of the jet. And the undoubted advantage of plastic is the absolute resistance to water. Therefore, such nozzles are found both in inexpensive and in fairly advanced atomizers.

Metal. The main advantages of metal are strength and reliability; in general, it is less resistant to corrosion than plastic, but this is fully compensated by the use of special alloys and coatings. This material costs a little more, but in this case this difference is small, and metal nozzles can be used even in devices with all-plastic cases (see above). This option can definitely be recommended if it is planned to use not very clean water for irrigation: a clogged nozzle does not require special delicacy in cleaning.
