Self-guiding cutters for rounding over edges do not require a side fence. They are supplied with two bearings. Use the larger bearing for a round-over. If the cutter is lowered, a top quirk can be produced. Bullnose mouldings can also be produced by taking a second pass from the opposite side of the workpiece. Trend Two Flute Straight Cutters produce a cleaner finish than single flute cutters. Suitable for grooving, rebating, morticing, drilling and shallow lateral routing cuts such as recessing hinges. Corners will require a final trimming square with a hand chisel or a corner chisel. Suitable for abrasive materials such as chipboard, MDF, plywood, hardwoods and hard plastics.

Ovolo and rounding over cutters are ideal for panel work and edge moulding, all can be used on natural timbers, man-made particles and fibre boards. Popular uses include edging window frames, glazing bars, cabinets, table tops, pencil rounds, trophies, shelves and fire surrounds. They can also be used to produce bullnose edge moulds.
