Description In an ideal world, there would never be much wind and we’d always be able to see our floats easily at distance. In truth, of course, conditions are usually very different! In sample trials, working with some exceptionally good River Trent anglers, we found that the answer was to do exactly the same as we do with bolo floats and by using thicker hollow inserts, the float tips were much easier to see. This No2 Hybrid has a 3.5mm hollow insert and a green body colour. RECOMMENDED SILICONE RUBBER BASE – 1.5mm TIP – 2mm, 3mm

SIZES: 2No4, 4No4, 6No4, 8No4, 10No4, 12No4, 14No4 There are days when a big stick float with strung out shots works much better than a float with a bulk shot arrangement. I realised this many years ago on deep River Severn swims and also on other rivers like the Trent and Wye. Use a No4 shot per foot of depth so for a 10ft deep swim a 10No4 float is the one to go for.

Description This dark grey coloured range has the same body shapes and stem lengths as the No1 and No2 Hybrids but features a 4mm hollow insert. It’s the one to use when conditions are poor in terms of wind and light. As with our other Heavy Base sticks, the best way to shot the new Hybrid sticks is with small shots (No8s or No6s) spread equally from just under the bottom of the float stem to within 10″ of the hook. Done this way, the casting process is easy and tangle free and it’s possible to fish a long way out. With practice, overhead casting will give even more distance. Description The Bobbie Carbons are the perfect pole float when targeting carp all year round. Featuring a 0.6mm carbon stem, which is super durable and suits a variety of different tactics. AS4 The AS4 has been designed and developed in conjunction with five-time World Champion Alan Scotthorne. The AS4 is perfect for depths up to 4ft (1.2m). This pattern, with differing length 1.5mm hollow bristles and carbon stems is the one to go for when you're fishing rivers with pace, as the shape of the float will help you to slow the float and hookbait down. In the smaller sizes, this float is perfect for long pole/ short line fishing with baits like hemp, tares, maggots and casters. We've now added 0.80g, 1.0g, 1.5g, 2.0g, 2.5g, 3g, 4g, 5g and 6g sizes. Above 1g, we recommend the use of an olivette as a bulk with a few small No8 or No9 BRISTLE DIAMETERS 0.20g to 2g – 1.5mm hollow 2.5g to 4g – 1.7mm 5g and 6g – 2.0mm

This pattern features the same body shape as our popular DH11 but with a carbon stem and differing length, thicker hollow bristles. The 0.5g up to 1.5g sizes have 1.5mm bristles while the 2g and 3g sizes have 1.7mm. New 4g, 5g and 6g are also now available. The stems have deliberately been left long as these are better for deep water. For anglers who prefer shorter stems, it's an easy job to carefully trim the stems down with a blade. SIZES: 0.5g, 0.75g, 1.0g, 1.5g, 2.0g, 2.5g, 3.0g, 4.0g, 5.0g, 6.0g Another tapered ‘pencil’ float for long line whip fishing. Big weights of dace and roach were regularly taken on prototypes of this float last season from rivers like the Severn and Wye. It's also a very popular float in parts of Ireland. All the floats in this pattern feature plastic bristles which makes them easy to see and the range is ideally suited to depths from 4ft to 15ft. This is the float to use on low rivers when the flow isn’t too great. Like the DH18, the shape of the float has very little resistance to taking fish, which means you connect with more bites. AS2 The AS2 has been designed and developed in conjunction with five-time World Champion Alan Scotthorne. Available in six sizes from 0.1g to 0.6g, it features a thickened 0.6mm spring stainless wire stem for improved stability compared to glass or carbon. The stem is also only bonded halfway into the bulbous body, rather than continuing up into the bristle, to improve the float�s balance and behaviour without adding unnecessary weight and detracting from the buoyancy. Alan has field-tested these floats extensively and is happy that the thicker stem will withstand plenty of abuse from catching big bags of carp!
