The Brachiosaurus is one of the largest animals the world has ever seen. It's 23 meters long, which is almost as long as an entire lane of an outdoor swimming pool! It towers over even other dinosaurs more→at 13 meters high. It may look dangerous, especially with its fiery red back, but actually, it's quite peaceful and only eats plants. Lucky for us!
The huge Brachiosaurus can be seen from far and wide: As high as a house, its long neck juts out above the treetops. What is it doing there anyway? With its sharp teeth, it plucks leaves and twigs from the branches. It's rarely disturbed during mealtimes, and not just because of its size. The prehistoric giant is covered from head to the tip of its …
Allosaurus' patterned lizard skin looks like a camouflage suit. That's pretty practical since the giant carnivore is almost always on the hunt. On two legs, it can run unbelievably fast through the ju more→ngle and can easily catch up with any prey. There's no escape from its powerful jaws and sharp teeth. It can even take on other dinos.
The Bajadasaurus is a particularly impressive dinosaur. That's mainly thanks to the long spiny spikes running along its back. I wonder if the otherwise peaceful herbivore uses them to defend itself ag more→ainst attackers. In any case, they look pretty scary, poking out of its head and neck all over. Best keep your distance!
At an impressive six meters in length, the Concavenator is an imposing figure. The lizard's skin shines grass-green and yellow. On its back it has an elongated hump, which stands out from the rest of more→the body in red. With its striking appearance, it keeps enemies at bay. If that's not enough, it might have to bare its sharp teeth. That will make anyone run for the hills.
The Moros Intrepidus runs like lightning through the jungle on two legs always on the hunt. It digs its mighty clawed feet into the ground so that no one can stop it. At the same time, it opens and c more→loses his huge jaws. It looks dangerous even from a distance. Let's get out of here!
The Armadillo really is unique with its thick scaly carapace. It covers the whole body, leaving only the pointed nose and eyes exposed. The long nose gives it away: the Armadillo has a keen sense of s more→mell to sniff out insects even when they are buried deep in the ground. It doesn't mind the heat. After all, it is at home in South America and used to hot days.
Doesn't it look a picture when the Ibex stands on a rocky outcrop surveying its realm? Its mighty horns can be seen from afar. Simply majestic! The high mountains are its home. When it skips skillfull more→y over the rocks, no one can follow.
The jet-black Cape Buffalo is an imposing sight. The huge horns that sit curved on its forehead are especially impressive . Best not get into a fight! Most of the time the this buffalo is quite peacef more→ul. Then it grazes at a leisurely pace, just enjoying its life on the African savannah.
On all fours, the Japanese Macaque keeps a close eye on what's going on. Nothing escapes the black beady eyes in its reddish face. The thick fur keeps this little monkey safe and warm even in cold wea more→ther. Sometimes it even has to endure icy winds and snow. Then it prefers to snuggle up to a friend and keep warm. A cozy jacket pocket will be just perfect!
The Fire Salamander looks beautiful with its patterned black and yellow shiny skin. Sitting on a mossy stone, it is quite easy to spot, especially since it is pretty large for an amphibian. Its bright more→body color protects it from predators. They may admire its beauty, but it doesn't look good enough to eat.
Doesn't the American Black Bear look cute? It stretches its shiny snout into the air and looks over with friendly eyes. Wouldn't you just love to give it a cuddle, with its thick fur and cute little e more→ars. But easy does it! Don't underestimate this forest dweller. When they are hungry, bears can get very grumpy! You could always try calming it down with a little bit of honey!
